2014, what a year you have been. It was a year of self-discovery. It was definitely not an easy year for me. I quit my job and didn't want to rush into a new job, so I started freelancing and looking for a job at the same time. The job hunt was definitely the roughest part of this year. I'm not sure what I want to do, but I know that everything will work out one way or another. I wished I was ready to move to do DC and work at NPR, but I wasn't. I hope I will find my calling in 2015. For now I'll continue to freelance.

In any case, I can't let my job search overshadow the great things that did happen this year! It was so fun to look back and reflect on the year. I'm so grateful for all the great adventures I had this year! I can't wait to see what will happen next year!

Here are some of my highlights from 2014:

I started this blog with this gif. 


I started my own Etsy shop and sold a number of cards and posters. 

I went surfing for the first time in Bolinas.

I cleaned up our apartment and our Ikea hack was featured in the Huffington Post!

I got to go mushroom hunting and camping

I got to take a letterpress class and a calligraphy class

Celebrated 4 years with Grant

I had a snow cone birthday party!

I got to take engagement photos for the first time and pretend that I was a photographer. 

I got to go Grand Rapids and see the above couple get married.


I got to go to Portland for the first time and go to XOXO and see my friends get married

I got to go to Southern Oregon and Crater Lake. 

I got to go to Europe for two weeks and visit London, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam

I worked with a printer and got letterpress posters for the first time!

Lastly, I got to hang out with my family and friends in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
