My First Engagement Session: Alec & Laura

I love photography and dream of being a professional photographer one day. Well, in addition to the many other professions I'd like to be pro at. Two Sundays ago, I got to pretend to be a photographer and take engagement photos for my friends Alec and Laura. I've always wanted to take engagement pictures, but have never had the chance to try it out until now.

Not knowing what to expect, I read blogs and watched videos to prepare for the day. I looked through Pinterest to get ideas for poses. When the day came, I was nervous and excited. I just hoped that things would work out and their time would not be wasted.

I took three lenses with me, but really only used one. I didn't know when was a good time to switch lens, so I mainly used my 24mm lens. I'll have to try switching lens if I do another engagement session. Also, the weather was not as great as I hoped, but we made it work.

It was so much fun taking pictures of Alec and Laura. They were super cute and patient. It made my job a lot easier.I can't wait to get better at using the camera and hopefully do some more shoots.

Below are some of my favorite pictures from the sesion. The first three pictures were taken in Alamo Square and the rest were taken in Golden Gate Park. To see the rest of the pictures go here. Side note: I'm still figuring out how I want to consolidate all my sites, so bare with me! Anyways, thanks to Alec and Laura for letting me capture their beautiful love. I can't wait to see you guys get married next month! ♥

Hooray you made it to the end! Here's a gif. :)
